Bringing Families Together
a safe, inclusive space
A safe space for families
Bringing Families Together is a community-focused project by Solihull Moors Foundation, aimed at supporting families across North Solihull and East Birmingham who may be experiencing isolation, financial strain, or mental health challenges. The project creates a safe, inclusive space for families to spend quality time together, build stronger relationships, and connect with others in similar situations.
Who It’s For
Families living in North Solihull and East Birmingham, especially those facing disadvantage or limited access to support. The programme includes:
- Weekly sessions every Monday from 5:00pm–6:30pm at The Gig, Rear of 32 Acocks Green, B27 6DN
- Fun, engaging family activities including cooking, crafts, table tennis, boccia, board games, reading, and more
- Free refreshments and all materials provided
- A friendly, supportive environment led by experienced staff
- Peer support opportunities and access to signposting and guidance
- Delivered in 12-week blocks, supporting 30 families across the year
Impact
Many families in our community feel the impact of rising living costs, reduced services, and social disconnection. This project offers a consistent and positive space where families can build stronger bonds, boost confidence, and support each other through shared experiences.
“We’ve never really had the chance to do activities like this as a family before. It’s brought us closer together, and the support from other families has been amazing.”
